Grow Lights

Man! These forums to take some wading thru eh? OK So I'll take the easy out and just ask.

I want to set up for 4 to 8 mother plants. I'll be keeping them small & the set up simple. My question is this: what is the simplest & cheapest (to run) method of lighting for that many small plants?
Can I use a couple of flouro grow lights, will that be sufficient?

Also, has anyone out there heard of equipment that will cut the electric bill considerably for grow lights?

Cheapest would be CFLs, easiest would be T5s.

T5s or CFL and a small intake fan would help.

What they said is about the lowest electricity use also.

For mothers a couple $10 shop lights at any home depot would be the best option. They dont need alot of light.
