I've never grown in coco but I think as far as temp/humidity its all the same. Newly sprouted seedlings like high humidity (about 70%) and higher than normal temps. (About 80 degrees or a bit higher). These factors help with root growth and overall health of the plant. After the seedling stage you'll want to decrease both. Humidity at about 50% and temps from 70-78. Good luck.

Well some people will say you can hang damp towels about in your grow room with a light fan on them for evaporation and an increase humidity. I grew in a low humidity basement and it didn't work for me, though I've heard others swear by it. I wound up buying a cheap cool mist humidifier. But to be honest 40% is not too bad. Many people go 40-50% the entire grow and be fine.

I've never used it myself but I've heard mixed reviews. Some swear by it and others say its snake oil. Maybe someone who's tried it can give a better explanation.
