Grow room venting!!

600 watt ac reflector, 3x3 tent for 7-9 plants ( scrog )

Should I have one venting system i.e. intake==>light==>carbon filter=>inline fan sucking=>exhaust out of room

Or

intake==>carbon filter=>inline fan sucking=>exhaust out of room and intake==>ac reflector==>inline fan sucking=>exhaust out of room.

not sure what you mean unless you have an inline carbon filter but it should go......... carbon filter to light to inline exhaust fan

Even better, loop attic air thru your light hoods.

Then exhaust air out of the room with a fan drawing thru a carbon filter.

Then you just need a passive intake of fresh air like your home A/C or a window unit.

You want a negative pressure room to contain odor.

I don't do Co2 but if you do then you need a sealed room, have to ask theBud Gods about that!

Appreciate the feedback! It's going to be in my basement so using anything from the attic will be impossible if I plan to be "quiet " about it.

I'm not going to use Co2 either, I've just heard so many things about keeping the climate venting separate from the light venting.

I was going to use a S&P td0100x (90 cfm) plus fresh filter 9000..I think this should be more than for little 3x3

You're not going to pull off a scrog with that many plants. You would be overgrown early and negate the benefits of a scrog. A single plant would be a better option... IMO.

I use the same area and wattage. I can't put more than 6 in flower at a time. 4 is best when heat and humidity are an issue in the summer. Mold loves spots where buds and leaves are tightly packed against each other.

i u
always try to jam 9 in there and end up having to trash perfectly good plants after a few weeks. Just too much.

I've also been reading up on lsd'ing your plant against the pot to create a spiral effect, would this yield just as much if I were to have a scrog? If so, how many plants could I fit comfortably?

Reason being, I would grow one big plant, but I'd like to have a few different strains.

The second one. If I'm reading that correctly, you're doing it right. No need for the air going thru the reflectors to be scrubbed before exhausting.

I have a 5x7 room and eight plants stuffed in there. My rule-of-thumb is 2'x2' for each plant unless you want to stuff plants tight in there.

Hes saying use one fan for everything, or using two fans, one for exhausting hot air from reflector and one for scrubbing and exhausting air from tent.

If your using one 600 watt light it makes little sense to use 2 fans. Use 1 correctly sized centrifugal.

I use an inline 248 cfm "booster" fan for my 600w easycool6 light fixture and it works great and only cost $24. It's a bit noisy though.

hey man

ok 3x3x6 is 54 cf........3x3x8 is 72 cf

u need to replace the air in that area once every 3 mins is what the avg is for the growers (5 mins is the maximum amount )
so u need to devide 54 by3 or 72 by 3 and that is the minal amount of air

170 cfm inline fan this is a 4 inch fan ..............this will do the job for u more then need

now carbon filters .......u match the carbon filter to the speed of the fan ........so 170 cfm fan is a 170 cfm rated carbon scrubber
the way it works is
carbon filter....ducting .....light ......ducting.....fan ....ducting to exhust point (suxing tho filter and tho light then ejecting)
or
carbon filter....ducting...fan....ducting......light.......ducting to end point (sucking tho filter blowing tho the light then ejection)

if your area is a tent and can concave do to sucking then a powered intake is a good choice .......get a under rated fan (like a booster inline fan) and have that suppling most of the air and then the make up the last of the cfms to match the exhust speed u have a hole so it can be a passive intake

the lover cfm intake fan is to keep the smell inside........u still have negitive pressure in the tent but the force is less then if u were running just passive so the wals concave inward less if any

quick linkes
inline fan.................exhust
carbonfilter.............matched

inline booster...........intake fan lower cfms

amazon prime run yah just under 130 bucks ..............not then more do to shipping

Appreciate all of the suggestions, I have about a month until I start and supplies will be needed : )

The purpose of this is stock, I am moving just shy of 5 months from now and simply put just want to get as much flower as I can before I leave. Or as much flower as I can with a 3x3 tent and 600 w.

if u want the honest advice

no .....if u are new at this scroging is not worth it ..............u need to have a base with natural plants so u know what to except out of it once u know that info about the strain u are growing then a SCRoG is the way to go since u know the growth pattern of the plant

a first time grower that u need to see results on otherwise u just wasted all that money and still going to spend more to get a supply for self

autoflowering plants ........................from seed in ground to smokable stuff is between 72 days to 75 days for me ..............your 600 wat and that size tent u could get a massive plant

biodiesel mass
berry diesel
those plant just one of those in a tent in a 7 gallon air bag ................feed them and u can make a qp to a pound on the plant depends on the skills
