grow tent leaking light thru zipper?

ok i was wondering if a little bit of light leaking thru my grow tent will effect my flowering? also.. i have a 4x4 tent with 5 northern lights from nirvana in it.. 1000w dimmable .. set to 1000w (Mh) should i switch my bulb to (HPS) now that i switched to 12/12 a few days ago.. also im growing in fox farms ocean forest and just started using fox farms open sesamie. but i guess my main concern is the zipper letting light thru during darkness. when the lights are on and i turn off the light i see a few parts of the zipper that let light out.. so i know light is coming in.. what should i do? will it be ok?or should i relocate the tent to a darker room? i really dont want to move it.. .. also is 5 plants too much space.. here are some pics.
also i dont know if u can see but why are my tips looking like that .. only up top.. i havent used alot of nutrients .. i just started to use nutrients again.. the original nutrients i used were a time released i mixed in with the soil when i created the soil about 6.5 weeks ago. either way im ready to start flowering..

Try tapeing some fabric or something on the tent so it hangs over the zipper blocking the light, but still allowing you to open it up.

I think I have the same ten although I'm only running a 400w in mine. I have some pinhole light coming through too. I taped them up as best I could with some duct tape and on the 2 sides I don't have any cords or ducting I covered with with blankets.

I dunno man I think you might run out of room. I have 4 plants that are about 2 weeks into flower after about a 3-4 weeks veg and I think space is going to be tight. In the 2 weeks of flowering they almost tripled in size already.

Are they sativa's or sativa doms? Northern Lights is indica dominant(correct me if I'm wrong), this means the stretch won't be as much as an equatorial sativa.

whats up man, im having the same problem with the leaves tips curing down like that. the only answers i got about it is it may either be too much heat, too little RH, or funky ph levels. if you find out or figure out what is causing the problem PLEASE let me know, and i will do the same. ive since put a much much bigger exhaust fan in my setup and added a humidifier in the room.

well i have been flowering for 6 weeks.. and i hope they dont tripple outward.. i dont mind the height.. guess time to upgrade my tent....

ill let u know.. from what i understood was that i didnt have enough nutes .. either way im playing with some diff nutes ill let u know what i find out though

you also need to switch to the HPS yesterday if you have not already. Running MH a few days into 12 12 is not a bad way to go , if you meant to, but should have the HPS going by now yes?
How far is your light away from the canopy?
and unless you have major leaks and cracks in the tent dont stress too much , as long as little to no light gets in during the "night " you are fine. but yes , a little duct tape or something should ease your worries.

ya its actually about 14" away but i got 600cfm fan with scrubber and also i have a 200cfm booster. so it stays pretty cold.. actually i tore up half of one side of my plant on accident today trying to put the scrubber on teh ceiling.. of the tent.. the fan fell off the scrubber when i tryed to pull it out to screw it together.. oh well.. its not a big area but it did some dammage.. it will get better

oh and i switched today to hps

ya im ordering a new tent to get more space and making sure i get the overlap inside flap for the zipper

Well one of my plants is almost a pure indica and hardly stretched at all. The other 3 are mostly indica hybrids and stretched quite a bit.
