growing 1 plant in a cupboard in the uk

hey! looking to grow for first time, i read one post about this on the site but i was hoping a uk resident would be up for helping me out with a shopping list, instructions and whereabouts to shop for simply growing 1-2 plants in a cupboard

a cost effective strategy would be the best (not cheap, just dont want to invest alot as im a complete beginner)

would be really grateful and if your local enough would 100% share some of the harvest
