How big is your pot? Why would you want to block the sun with an umbrella?

Each plant should have a separate container, otherwise the roots will tangle and kill or stunt them. And yeah umbrella makes no sense. You want direct sunlight, shading them kind of makes the grow pointless. They need light

possibly he means one of those photography umbrellas??? a huge reflector that looks like an umbrella??? I dunno.... I'm hoping theres an explanation...lol
