growing outside at 9500ft elevation?

Can I grow this high up? I mean, I know I can't grow right now as it's too cold.

But in spring/summer, can I? I am pretty far up, not much up here but hardy little bushes and evergreens.

So, it gets pretty cold at night in spring/summer, but more importantly...is the elevation going to be an issue? Maybe some super hardy strains of indica can pull it off? Ideally I want to grow sativa outdoors for max production, but it seems like I'd be a lot safer going with indica because its more durable, right?

absolutely! the timing is a lil different (I don't know what that timing is, as I haven't done outdoors here) that high up, but many successful grows. outdoor grows are frowned on here though, it has to be kept out of site or the cops may pay a visit and rip em out. many folks just do a couple and keep em trained out of sight. a small greehouse will help extend your grow season a lil and hide your girls. indicas and hydrids can do well outdoors here, the best stock will be acclimated to our climate - seeds work really good here if they were bred in CO (epigenetics - basically, seeds bred in a given environment will grow better, because the genetics recombine in a way that is more favorable to the conditions they are bred in. this is why seeds bred at sea level will not perform the same for us, as seeds bred in CO at high altitude/pressure. still good, just not 'Epic')

Sure you can. It's just a matter of crop selection. You would need to start inside to avoid late frost and watch your night time temps really close but you can do it. Eyecandi makes great points (as usual lol)
