Growing pots or net pots

hey guys i just finish setting up my grow tent and lights. i just have a couple of questions to help me set up my hydro system. I am a new grower

I have 2 22x22x7 grow tray with pre-drilled drain holes. i was planning on putting my plants in 2 gallon pots with rock wool, filled with hydro ton grow pellets. i only purchased about 30 liter of hydro ton. my only concerned is when my tray fills up with water, and that i wont get maximum nutrient supplied to my plants because its filling in through the drain holes of the pots.

If i use big size net pots with covers on top of the net pots. i know that my nutrient and water will fully come in contact with my root system. my concern is that once the plant gradually grow it will have big roots maneuvering thru the hydro ton and thru the net pots on the side and be exposed to the light.

i could just order more hydro ton and fill the whole grow tray. but i really want the ability to move and turn my plants.

any advice would be helpful thanks in advance

Regular pots will be fine unless or until the roots block the drainage holes. The typical drain kit only floods to about 4" so get something wide. ;)

lol you can use multiple pots inside the tray move them around as you wish, just use some cardboard pieces to cover the tray, or just fill it up with hydroton and train plants as you wish, thats how i like it, maximum space for roots, simplest method
