growing really fast!!!!too fast maybe!!!

:confused:ok so i have 4 plants i startes two of them on monday and one of those is a good three inches tall already...is that normal..does that mean male or female...i have no clue im just asking questions. the other one i started on monday is a good two inches tall and i put one in the dirt yesterday evening and is already out of the ground about a half inch and green...are plants supposed to grow that fast..or are my lights too far away from these plants..any and all help is appreciated thanks.
 
if u have a 600-1000 watt light (without a cool tube) it should be atleast 20-30 inches away.. 400 watt light 15 inches away..
 
im just using flur. right now and its shooting up quick...how many sets of leaves does it need before you flower it...or how tall does it have to be

height is irrelevant,

i saw a guy once grow with regular house lights, his plants were nearly a foot tall after a couple of days, they only had two sets of leaves though,

my plants at the moment are 15 days old and are 1.5 inches tall with 5 sets of leaves
 
ok so if im trying to get close to a half ounce off of these plants each how many sets of leaves or how tall does it have to be before i start my flowering cycle??
 
im using two og kush seeds and im using some good homegrown seeds my friend gave me the ones my friend gave me are growing fast the kush looks normal i am veg. them in a fish tank with mylar surronded on the inside and the tank lights are flur. fish tank lights the soil is organic mix and feeds up to three months have been watering with dist. water they look healthy and fine just really darn tall for 4 days

its a little hard for me to say what kind of yield your going to come out with just using fluros in a fish tank, depends on how many plants you do, how stretched they get or whatever,

more info on the lights i know they fluro but what power are they, i think theres going to be a fair chance you may need more lighting down the road when flowering time comes
 
to be honest i have no clue but it seems to be working good it gets hot i plan on getting better lights on down the road ive got a better place for these plants for flowering i was just using the tank so theyd have alot of heat i was originally going to put these outside but ima grow them inside
