S Subu Well-Known Member May 16, 2012 #2 Edit: This is a terrible idea, tv's aren't designed to project much light as it is damaging to the human eye. If you really want to utilise your tv in a grow, then sell it and buy some lights with the money you make,

HighLowGrow Well-Known Member May 16, 2012 #3 Pure white won't work. You need a fuzzy screen (black and white). We all know that the color black is a combo of all colors. Sounds about as silly as: If you're growing with a strobe light that is on for a second and off for a second are you getting your 12/12?

Invertebrate Member May 16, 2012 #6 Are you serious? It wouldn't work at all. The light would be diffuse and not nearly strong enough.
potpimp Sector 5 Moderator May 16, 2012 #7 I think you'd need at least a 64" for this, and a 64" fresnel lens. Some people don't need to post when they're high.
