growth stops during flowering?

well it turns on they put on a good inch or two when i checked them again so im a little less nervous now.. garden knowm said i can veg as early as 14 - 18 days and get just as high of a yield since the light rarely hits the bottom anyways and it winds up being overkill.. i hope im doing the right thing here

Many paople think you need to veg for BLAH BLAH BLAH amount of time.. well. this is just hogwash.... the truth is.... THE amount of light that you can provide a plant is so limited that there is no reason to grow plants more than 12-24 inches....

of course there are exceptions...
1. you have side lighting.
2. you want a shit load of clones
3. you are a jack ass bwahhhhahahahahahah
4. ther reasons that I don't know.. LOL


anyway, you get my point....

Especially when using CFL's there is no reason to grow more than 4-6 nodes...

The plant I am shoing you was flowered at

4 inches tall
4 nodes
14-15 days old from seed
under 8 (43 watt) CFLs (3 plants shared these lights)

The total harvest of all 3 plants was 8+ ounces... To get this sucess it is vital that your plants are healty and that watering and pH levels are done to perfection...

is this example your giving an indica?

Don't sweat it dude, you'll get some growth. I flowered at the 5th week last time and they got 2 big on me. They were 12 inches tall almost, and when it was done they were approximately 3 ft when finished stretching.

yea i am not anymore.. seems like growth is back now

smart man... very common struggle... those suckers get huge when you flower.. thanks for the insite!!!

Ralphie.. the plant was an INDICA starin called mango...

That plant I grew yielded a 1/4 dry without stems. Exactly 30 days of veg.

cool thank for info guys.. what im growing has sativa in it as well although its primarily indica so hopfully that brings it up a bit

Watch this discussion change to "will it stop growing?" , "it's getting too high" , in about 3 weeks.

haha i highly doubt it will hit 7 feet and if it does ill rip the fucking roof of my tent off and expand to 9

just to let everyone who said it was going to yield and 8th and not grow at all since it was an indica, here is a current pic of the top bud, not including the rest of the 3+ foot plant.. i guess indicas do grow in flower, as i flowered all the males out in a seperate room and they grew as well (UNDER A COUPLE OF CFLS)
