C'mon,you must know the answer to this,paying by check slows down shipment no matter where your buying online.

Only brick & mortor stores where you shop in person & show ID let you leave with your purchase,all mail order stores wait until a check clears.

If you send an e-check with paypal its the same way,you'll be waiting till it clears.
