just had a though today at work - my company uses several Fork lifts in the loading bay and i just noticed they have a special water filter system - apparently its removes salts, chemicals additives etc in the water that can cause damage to the battery cells - it just leaves water!!!

Would this be benifical to use instead of tap water as i can get an unlimited supply!

is it a reverse osmosis system?

would not like to say -just this big filter tank that the tap water go,s into then i beleive it de-ioniszes the water and then filters out any salts and chemicals added by water company? just seemed a handy bit of kit!!

You can buy a reverse osmosis system for around $200.00 and produce your own. Installs in less than an hour. VV

im sure it will help but the reverse osmosis is a little bit better.
