Halogen lights?

Just wondering if anyone has tried using halogen lighting. Would it work or is it just the wrong kind of light. Also wondering if you can use just any ph test kit.

Halogen is totally useless for growing.

You would be better off with a cheap $20 digital pH pen than the strips.

Halogen Is totally useless Wetdog is right I have tried them Before..Might as well use incandescent Bulbs The plant Doesn't absorb any of it .....CFL's are At walmarts everywhere and work Fine

Some PH testers have a range they test through.... so you have to get ones that will cover the 4-8 range At least...... I have a 20$ Primo PH Pen It works Great

they will work but generate a lot of heat, if it's all you can afford, turn off your grow room heat.
as you can see they are slightly better than a standard metal halide light that so many growers are using (dumbasses)

I was just wondering, I'm using the CFL set up from the Buds for less book. It works like crazy
