X XZerT Active Member Apr 4, 2008 #1 So i was shopping at Home Depot and i was looking at flood lights. There were quartz/halogen lights that were crazy cheep and had alot of lumens. I dont hear of anyone using these and i was wondering why that is? or are these just an overlooked light source?

G GROWUROWN Well-Known Member Apr 5, 2008 #4 Halogen's are not the proper spectrum of light I don't think, and also they get WAY TO HOT!!!! Never use them! EVER!
