Who all hangs the whole plant? I would like to dry my buds slower and figured this would help, is there any downside to hanging the whole plant???

I have high temps and low humidity in my drying room, so I hang the entire plant. The moisture in the stems and leaves slows down the drying process. If you have cooler temps (under 70) and higher humidity (above 60) then you should probably trim before drying otherwise it will take too long. Keep in mind good airflow is CRUCIAL!

really depends on your humidity level, temperatures, and whether you plan on moving the buds to paper bags after hanging.

to give you some reference, i hang as branches in a room @ ~50% humidity for 3 days

move to paper bags, separating the buds with layers of shredded paper lunch bags, for 2 days

then jar

you might need to go through some trial and error to find what works for you

a dehumidifier really helps to control the drying humidity, so you can fine tune it to work for however you want to do it

including hanging the whole plant
