Hi, just a few questions about the hard water issue that I have not been able to find a clear and to the point answer to in any of the threads that come up from searching.
1. My tap reads 200-210ppm should I start using the Hard Water FloraMicro? (ive seen it written both that 200 is at the high end of acceptable for regular Micro and also that anything over 180-200 should use the Hard Water Specific Formula)
2. When mixing my formula I let my tap water set out for min 24hrs, then I mix in my nutes, which usually come out to 6.2Ph, then I Ph down to 5.5. Afterwards I use what I need and let the rest sit till the next watering. Last time I watered I checked the drain off and it was 6.5 and I was putting it in @5.5 (which I assume means that the PH in the rockwool was OVER 6.5?) I pre-soaked my rockwool for 24hrs in an aerated solution @5.0 and I made sure to Ph the rockwool in the solution to 5.5 before I drained it for use. Now my questions is, does hard water have anything to do with a stable PH? Could it be the cause of the spike in the rockwool? Any and all info is greatly appreciated, thanks.
