harvest help!

do all strains have trics that turn amber when its time to harvest and if there are strains that dont show amber when they are ripe what other signs should i look for? im askin because i have an afghan kush thats been flowering for 7 weeks and looks finished with all pistils turned to red and most have went back in the bud but no amber trics, just really cloudy....any help is appreciated

Pics would be very beneficial to you if you want an accurate answer, but I doubt you are ready at 7 weeks.

I planted mine in April. Very few amber Trichs still. Guess I'm going 'til November.

Good Job Jayson your right on track, 7 weeks even 8 weeks should be mostly cloudy and clear it takes time for the amber trichs but they all do it as far as I have seen/heard. Wait a good while you will know when it is done the plant will look bloated and the bud will really be swollen and hard. the calyx's will really swell and protrude, also your pistils will completely reseed into the calyx. Good luck and wait a good two more weeks for max potential bro.
