Harvest time need some HELP!!!!!! drying

im doing 3 different strains 1 strain is ready to be pulled and dried my last drying i had some leafy tasty bud. this time im looking for some tasty nugs. i picked a small bud last night and it dried over night and it smoked fine just taste and smell was leafy. first question

1.after a day of drying what does the bud smell like?should it smell a little leafy grassy

2.im working with low humidity right now were at 9% humidity is there a different way of drying then hanging them? or any help here would be nice

3. how long should they be drying for is drying fast bad??

It should take about 7 days for them to dry. If they are drying too fast ya can put them in a paper bag to slow it down. It smells like weed its hard to explain. If it drys fast it will taste bad.

Put it in a paper bag like i said. A cardboard box will work with the top closed.

The moisture from the buds will be trapped in these objects so it will balance to something better than 9%. Drop your humidity meter in there with the buds and see. Also you could a bucket of water to the room it can help.
