Fellow horticulturalists,
I am in week 9 of flowering under a 250W HPS. I am using the foxfarm nutrients.
I find it difficult to see the trichomes under the microscope (might be the shitty 30x microscope I bought from hong kong). From what I can tell, almost all trichomes are cloudy/milky white, and a few amber trichomes here and there.
I'm still feeding the plant nutrients in accordance with the foxfarm schedule, but I am wondering if I should stop and begin to flush with water.
I check every day for the milky white trichomes to turn amber, and it seems to be taking a while.
One last question: in all the bags of grass I've bought since owning a microscope, I've never seen any buds with amber trichomes, and there have been some great strains in there (e.g. headband, sour diesel, hash plant, blue dream, etc). Do the amber trichomes disappear with curing or was this just the work of an impatient grower?
