Harvesting half a branch...

my orange bud plant is nearly done at the top but the bottom needs some more time under the lights... i was thinking of cutting at least half the plant down and was wondering if i can cut branches in half... i have a couple buds on the top of the branch that are pretty much done but half way through they get a lot weaker... would the branch still survive being cut in half or do i have to harvest the whole branch? also how far down can i cut the main stem? i was thinking about half... let me know what you guys think...

I'm not being impatient, it's just that the top ones are well more advanced than the lower buds on the branch. Looks like I would probably get a better harvest if I removed the top buds when they are done to allow the lower ones to get more light.

You can according to uncle bens posts, it's called double harvest. Cut off the ripen buds and leave the rest to ripen. it's like topping a plant it won't die just continue regular schedule. :leaf:
