Well, two questions.

#1, is drying the same as curing?

and, #2, after harvesting, if I dont want to make hashsish, are the leaves completely useless? I always thought you could smoke them.

Thanks, I am a comlpete newb and help is great

No. Drying is when the majority of the moisture leaves the plant matter.

This takes 4-7 days under the proper conditions

After the plant is "dry" and is placed into a sealed container (it will/should still have moisture in the stem and deep in the bud) the chloropylll will begin to break down into sugars and the bud will start to take on a smoothe taste. (the cure/start of the cure)

You should make oil, hash..etc. with the leaves. Smoking them is a last resort and is not the norm for most folks. (who plan ahead)

good luck

There is plenty of good info on line about curing your smoke .... I don't cure my .... never around long enough to do it ... and it's not bad just dried.

You can use the clipping from your buds to make hash, but I don't think you will get much out of the fan leave, but it's worth a try .... just seperated them from the bud clippings.

Make ganja butter with your leaves and small buds. I've been high for days off my last batch. But then again, I've been eating the shit every 5 hours too...

Thank you so much guys, this forum is ace.

So, is making cannabutter the only way to utilise the leaves, or will smoking give any effect at all? Is it more of a tobacco smoke, rather than a bud smoke? (I mean, would I use the leaves as a 'base', as I would usually use tobacco as the 'base' for a joint?

Thanks again
