Harvesting Top Cola

I have an Indica that was an experiment in lolipopping and the Top Cola is extremely fat and bushy, there are 6 bud sites below main cola that are not getting enough light, I was wondering about topping so lower sites could fatten as well, I do not have any additional room for side lighting as I have a sativa in there that is tied back and just blooming (side lighting in place)....just how bad will that hurt my lady?....other suggestions welcome....

HI ez, welcome to the forum. Let me get this straight, you have a plant that has a nice big cola top that you want to chop off because its getting in the way of some lower smaller buds? Sure you can just cut that big sucker off. I'd recommend you make sure its ready to harvest first, by using a 30x magnifier to check the trichs. I wouldn't want to sacrifice the big cola top for a few smaller ones.
If you have assured yourself it is ready go ahead and cut it off. Cervantes explains this as a second harvest. VV

Thanks for the info....been watching the last few days with 80-100x pocket scope.....trichs are starting to turn milky....I guess about 20%.....I want a perky up effect instead of couch lock like the original bag....and I have a sativa as I said in same cab thats going nuts and taken all the space....going to check out the second harvest method you mentioned...this is my first true harvest so Im still learning.....
I like your answer cause I been getting anxious to try it out.....LOL
