Harvesting top growth

Hello,

I have an auto harvest coming up. The tops are ahead of the shaded buds, ofcourse. Would trimming the tops first stun the bottom buds? I want them to go atleast a week longer than the tops.

What do you mean stun?...and for what I learned its OK to harvest the top b4 the lower buds ....some buds mature faster than others preferably the top of your plant which in most cases will always receive
