Has anyone ever tried 40/8 light cycle?

Ok, so Im in my final weeks of flower on my first grow. It has gone well and i'm ready for round 2. I started seedlings on 7/1/09 and have had them running on a 40/8 light cycle under Cfl's. They're growing like crazy compared to my first attempt. Now my question is has anoyone else tried this or maybe even tried it against 24/0 on the first month? If so results, or thoughts?

not too sure what would happen, just hope the plant doesnt get f'd up from stress

I don't really see a stress factor. They've been on this cycle since they sprouted and will remain till its time to flower. I actually see this as less stress than a 24/0 -> 18/6 -> 12/12... Thoughts?
