Has anyone gotten warranty service from Vortex fan?

They email back with simple instructions about taking it back to place of purchase, but haven't responded after I called bull, and that I wanted them to handle their own warranty.

Anyway, has anyone else had to do any kind of warranty claim with Vortex? They say it's a 10 year MANUFACTURER warranty, but I have yet to find someone who will go by this.

can you see if there is a local retailer and work with them to possibly RMA it back to the manufacturer. it could be a possibility. if you bought it only you may have your receipt or invoice deep in a mail box somewhere. i never pitch invoices for anything, and typically i separate them in folders. using your emails search function can be a great help. the postage to send a fan out probably is not that much, i would exhaust my resources to find the sales invoice, and go from there.

Vortex had a good rep, some of which was placed in these forums. I think you really find out how good a company is by how they act on returns and warranty service. This distinguishes them from the rest.

Meh,

Canadian.

Same with my Vortex. Worked great for a bit, then took a shit.

Receipt?

For my grow Labs?

Yeah, right.

Chalk it up as a learning expense.

and quit drinking anything canadian as a protest.

Right, I know, but it chapped my hide a little. Ok, I'm moving on to greener pastures now. $150 fan isn't worth any more hassle. Good luck Vortex.

There ya go, keep moving forward. If had I bought it from my hydro store, they would have replaced it no questions.

Just another spike in a growers day.

Glad I bought mine from a store. Used it for 3 months at half speed and the blade capped out. $30 to send the whole unit back. Not very impressed with a high end blower. My cheap all metal $100 blower has been going stong for 2 years at full throttle for 24 hours per day.
