Has anyone had a successful grow with a Mars sp250

Don't listen to the dummy head above me. A Mars LED obviously touched him in a naughty place when he was younger and he seemingly never recovered from the experience.

Mars are decent lights for a budget LED. They're a little to heavy in the blue spectrum, but still a big step up from their older lights. Others to consider are Spider Farmer, Phlizon, and Hortibloom.

Personally, I'd go with any of the 3 I listed over Mars, but again, Mars aren't bad lights.

BTW - You say they're junk because they're made in China? Then go ahead and list all of the diodes and cobs that are not manufactured in China, so that everyone will know what their options are. I'm ready for an education, brofessor. Please teach me, oh wise one.

Just diodes and cobs? I'd like to see a list of any of the equipment they use to grow that is NOT principally manufactured in China. Most people's names would be longer than that list.

Spider Farmer and Mars is actually the same company. I learned that a few weeks ago.

Nmibud bought a bunch of old school Mars at some point in the past. He now harbors some odd resentment at the company for it. Funny, cause without advertisers like Mars, he wouldn't be able to post here at all.

The guy offers really good advice though. He knows his shit. Just not when it comes to budget LEDs.

I put one in my 4x4 tent with a 1000hps on the opposite side..pretty close to even. I had 10 medium sized plants in there. I like how the led light penetrates and the lowers finish first and the tops finish last. It does put out some heat but nothing like the hps light. I plan on replacing the hps with another sp250 when I can. Keep your social distance and

This is a a ridiculous response. A Mars 250 is not going to match an HID 1K. Not even close.

I bought their sp150 and it outperforms my 4ft 6bulb T5. Insane light penetration and coverage. So I bought a second one.

Depends on what you’re looking for. Obviously nothing is guna put more direct light and lumens like an HID, but the coverage, costs, penetration, and heatsink make the SP250 and 150 incredible options. I just bought a second SP150 cuz the first one is incredible. In flower with it now and there is a clear difference in bud development between what is under the SP150 and what’s under my 4ft 6bulb T5
