Guys i haven a problem getn started, i put a shitloada work into the setup thn my Germ kinda bombd. i put BB seeds on paper towel wetted, on a tin pieplate wet towels over tht, ona heatn pad, made sure they were moist and warm at all times, but seems like it mighta been 2 moist with plastic wrap over all tht, sum molded, sum taproots got real soft and mushy, but i threw wht i had in soil anyway :-|for the setup I actually took benches bout 2' by 6' four of um, 2' off the ground n cut 6"by6" holes in thm on the top surface all stagered, thn grabbed sum heavy industrial plasic and made pots tht hang below the top soil lol, strapped 4 cash ;) poked holed in bottom of plastic 4 drainage, intake air coming in from a outside vent hose, n air being exhausted out with a high velocity desk fan witha hose, humidity bout 50%, temp 69-72F with 3 8" floros with full spectrum bulbs directly ova the benches hanging from a pully drivin rack to adjust the hight, insulated walls with white surfacing for light reflect. And yea alls i could get was M.G. lota people hatn on that stuff, is there a special reason? i think if i can get off the ground with these bad gurls, my enviroment should be badass!! lol:p well anyway its maa 2nd grow, did one once ina phototron, Booo. but prolly frm lack of Ep on my part. Im grabn more seeds n tryn again!! cant give the fuck up now!! now its principle alone ( and wantn to grow sum buds!)

dude i think ur making this way to complicated. i have had nearly 100% germ rate by simply placing seeds in a damp paper towel and folding it up placing it in a ziploc or plastic zipper sandwich bag and leaving it for a few days in a top cupboard in my kitchen. just take a few steps back and try my ghetto method of germ it works every time!!!!!!!!

one more thing ur fluro setup will be great for vegitation period but if you flower with those ull end up with some loose shake buds. take it from me i had 100 plant perpetual grow with about 50 4' 4bulb fluros and was dissapointed every time so my suggetion is to get anything other than fluros for flowering. metal halide or hps check out econo-light.com they got 250w hps for like 80 bux i think

the reason i chose floros was the power draw =( are the buds that bad under floros the whole way? I knw wit floros n M.G. im not gunna get crazy plants, but its kinda what i got 2 work with, and im sure ill rep wht i sew =P

it is possible to get good buds with fluros but you gotta have alot of em just put asmany surrounding the plant as you can physically fit . even still i went All out with 9 4' 4bulb fluros per 4 plants . if you can invision that it is 1 4 bulb ballast on top one on each end and 3 on either side

this pic is crap but it shows a visual of how many fluors i had each box is a 4 bulb 4 foot ballast

i had this repeated 6 times over thats 54 4 bulb 4' fluros in a basement 10x8 thats 32 plants to a full height of about 4ft and in the end when they were fully mature the buds were quite big but very loose and fluffy when dried it turned to a sticky kinda shake that had a high to it but nothing serious.

yeah, i agree with JonKollar about the florescents. they are very good for vegging but my recommendation for the flowering cycle is if your going to use the fluros then you need to definitely invest in mylar or some panda paper because the fluro light isnt as intense as hps so the light wont penetrate the plants as well. but if you invest and design a system where you can utilize all the light the fluros are putting off then you can grow some quality buds. SeeMoreBuds uses fluros in his book "Marijuana Buds for Less" except he uses cfl bulbs which is what I would recommend because you can have a 2000w setup and only draw 400w on your power bill.
