Have some outdoor cheese smells kinda spicy like hay and grassy?

I picked up some stuff that I was told was cheese. Now I have smoked real cheese and smelled it so I know what it should and taste like.

So anyways the buds are covered in crystals has a slight odor and slightly tasty for the first 2 hits.

Real cheese as anyone knows is really smelly stinky tight dense buds loaded with crystals.

So anyways I noticed my hand had green colored like hash on it after rolling a joint the buds aren't real loose or anything and the stone is there kinda a draning like high and the joint will become very shiny/oily looking after just a few hits .

I know there are a few different kinds of cheese bud the cheese I remember which I believe was indoor grown was very pungent tight buds loaded in crystals and every hit you took tasted almost like the first real tasty till almost the end.

This stuff just dident seem 100% I wonder what could have happened that would have made the normal strong smell and good strong taste disappear maybe I got a different strain all together or a cross breed any ideas ??

Hay and grassy smell happen during drying/curing. If you put it in the jar when it is too wet and leave it for too long, then you get a nasty smell. Next time leave it drying on the line until it is pretty brittle, put it in the jar until it moistens back up, lay it out, repeat.

you can fix anything im sure but im not trying to fix someone elses screw up.

I just wanna make sure that if im growing cheese it has the cheese smell and taste when im done like really strong.
