Heat issues due to new light

So i been rockgin 4 LED lights had a couple of the small HLG lights and a couple of blurples and didn't have heat issues in my 4x4 tent. Decided to drop some cash on the HLG 550. Now i'm having trouble with heat. I have never vented the tent before and doing stealthyish grow in a bedroom. I was thinking about hooking up some duct work from tent and dumping through the ceiling. I don't really want to cut a hole into the ceiling but that seems to be my only option. I can run it from tent through a closet cut a hole in closet to keep it incospicuous. I do rent but don't think it would be that much of an issue once I break the lease and buy a house. I was just wondering if i'm pushing air into the tent from the bottom up through the top if I would then have humidity issues. The tent is rocking about 88-93 degrees and i would prefer not to keep it wide open to keep it cool.

I was just hoping for some suggestions since i dropped 800 bucks on a light and now i'm thinking my yield is gonna suck and prolly potency issues if i don't get this fixed. Scrog is setup and i'm about 2 weeks to flip to flower. Just can't seem to get it dialed in and was hoping for some feed back. I have 5 plants. 3 hybrids, 1 indica, and one sativa.

Thanks ahead of time.

Is there a window nearby you can send the air out of, or a roof? Where are you measuring the temperature? Try having the probe in the shade right beside the roots and see what the temp is.

Can you put a window air conditioner in? Any air you put out of your house will be replaced by outside air coming in through any cracks around doors and windows so this may not help your heat situation as much as you would like.

window is not an option. was gonna vent into the attic by cutting a hole in the ceiling running duct work from top of tent to a nearby closet by cutting a hole in the ceiling. Not sure what the temp is underneath the canopy but don't think it will matter having cloth pots. should be similar temps

The plan is to push the cooler air in the room/house through a vent hole in the bottom of the tent up through the vent hole in the top of the tent. My house is air conditioned and i try to keep it at 69 degrees. I do have the option of reducing the amount of light because it is controllable. Just didn't want to do that if I didn't have to. I can keep the door open to the bedroom to pull cooler air from the rest of the house

Yeah you need to exchange air and remove heat. Its not something you can really avoid in a properly lit 4x4.

Not a great idea to vent into an attic though but there may be lots of passive air exchange up there.

I know a lot of plumbers will vent bathrooms into the attic , but there has to be sufficient air bricks, roof vents or some type of air circulation. You don't want black mould in your roof space.

You could also remote mount the driver but I would be more worried about humidity problems and lack of co2if your not exchanging the air

I vent my 3x3 with a 400w hps into my attic. Temps went from 89 down to 70. My room stays cool even if I keep my window closed. Go for the attic venting it works great. If you don't want to run any ducting try just dumping the heat into the room outside the tent. Depending on the room size you might be fine just venting to the room.

Welcome to your lesson in basic thermodynamics.
You're introducing 500 watts of heat into the tent when the light is on.
Without any means to extract that heat, temps rise.
My upstairs grow room vents into a much larger room and unless there is at least a 10 deg difference in temps it'll begin to get too warm.
Like others have suggested, you will need to have air exchange unless it's very cold in the room.

Sounds like you really dont understand how tents are supposed to work. Do you not have an exhaust fan running in the tent at all times? Tents need a constant supply of fresh air circulating through them.

The part at 00:27 is the best way to set it up. You should have negative pressure in your tent at all times (fan pushing air out which also means it will be pulling air in through the bottom vents.
