hi,
cant get rid of the heat :wall:, i have 2 fans 7inch and one 6inch taking air out also one 6 inch fan putting air in, also a 12" oscillating table fan facing upward towards the plant and bulbs at max speed. space is 17"x27", right now i have 4x45w 42 4200k 3100umens = 180w/12400lumens
but during flowering i am planning to use this:
2x cfl 45w 4200k 3100lumens =90w/6200lumens
2x cfl 105w 2700k 7140lumens=210w/14280lumens
2x hps 75w 2100k 6300lumens= 150w/12600lumens
total 450w/33080lumens with hps off is 300w/20480lumens
total
temperature right now with 4x45w hps on is 88.4F, with hps off is 75.8F~78F, the plant is 10" tall in the 6th week of vegetation stage:leaf:, fruity juice x northern lights x skunk F1 strain
should i go with only one hps on in flowering and 4xcfl, that would be 375w/27780lumens?
is there enough light, should i add another 2x45w when flowering
can i prune, remove bad leafs on the last day of vegetation stage? are the two 105w cfl in 2700k spectrum ok? :idea:or should i get more in the 2700k spectrum or back it up with hps? thanks to everyone for answering peace :bigjoint:

I use 1x 250watts CFL with home made shade up in the loft in a self made tent pretty cool up there the plants don't mind haven't checked the temp. I guess about +18c*
2700K for veg and flowering trough veg i use a few extra 20 watts cfl's and thats all trough time we upgrade to more quality gear I used 600Watts HPS previous to Pricy on the energy and to hot forget about led's there not good enough yet go for a better CFL like plug&gro

I would try to get a red one the 2700K but if you can't yet, at morrisons they sell twin pack of 20watts cfl for only 59p ceep them close to your plants it will help alot bud what you'l get out of it I don't know Good luck anyhow

i think i will put all of them on and fix the ventilation better, i will post pics when i am done doing that, about pruning can i do it the day i start the flowering stage? do i need to flush before switching to flowering? i am going to switch to lucas formula will that harm the pant?
schedule used before lucas:
Week 1 2.5 ml EACH Grow, Micro & Bloom
Week 2: 5ml Grow + 2.5ml Micro + 2.5ml Bloom
Week 3: 10ml Grow + 5ml Micro + 3ml Bloom
Week 4 until 12/12 : 12ml Grow + 6ml Micro + 3ml Bloom
Week 1 of 12/12 : 6ml Grow + 6mil Micro+10ml Bloom

No need to use bloom during the growing stage changing formulas can couse the plants to react for pruning wait till pistills are showing 1st week of flowering is a good time to take cuttings (cloning) if you change formula flush first then start with half dosis of new formula and check plants regular good luck

hi ozone50,
I am following lucas formula now 5micro-10bloom with general hydroponics 3part, I switched to lucas formula because leafs had several problem that looked to me like toxicity and deficiency not really sure which kind but it wasn't working. this is my last week of vegging, I am going to flower with 6micro-18bloom is that ok for the first week of flowering shouldn't it be less just for the first week? The formal schedule of general hydroponic, gave me so much trouble, hopefully lucas formula will do better. what do you mean can cause the plant to react? so far everything is looking good. I have been crazy on pruning it, so i could get more branches(cola), i have been doing it 4times every week. the leafs were not looking good that encouraged me to get rid of them. nice profile pic bthw. thanks for the input

I dont know if youthought about this but you should have an equal amount of air going out as you do coming in or vice versa. I have one fan sucking air out and since my room is nice and sealed it sucks it right in and I dont use extra electric turning multiple fans. This doesnt mean I dont have fans in the grow room. Just one fresh air fan at my exhaust.

yeah i know one good exhaust fan does it, I am using low speed computer fans they are ok but the grow room is like a closet inside a closet thats what makes it hardRight know I am stuck with what i got, I think I can still manage to get hps on after a little tweaking in the grow room. bthw check out the photos I posted. thanks

just thought i would let u know a plant only takes in two types of light red n blue , u really only want 6500kelvins for veg and 2700kelvins for flower. anything else(which u have) isnt getting the plant to take it all in , its 2 far off the spectrum i would remove everything else but the 2700k and get some 6500k. ONLY if u have the cash for it. otherwise get a 250watt ballast that runs hps and Mh.
