Heat question

Im on my first grow and my question is how can i generate more heat? my lighting situation is a working progress, im going from cfl's to mh, but my soil is cold to the touch. Do you think its the lights? But any ideas how i can get more heat? Anything will help.

you want your temps to be around 75-85 farenheit. buying a MH bulb will definately help, they generate alot of heat

unusual question, most are trying to cool things off
what about some insulation in your grow area, cheap and can be quite effective
you can also place some plastic jugs of water your grow area, they will tend to keep the temperature up when lights are off

Thank you for the help ill see what happens with the mh and try the wter thing too
