Heat vs light

Well with a 400 watt ballast i have temps at the start of the lights on period at 88-90 and by the end they go down to 83-86. When I dim the ballast to 300 the temps are 84-86 and By the end it's around 78-82. I'm days away from harvesting a world of seeds legends afghan kush and 20 days left for a delicious cotton candy.my kush is at day 52and the interweb says harvest are 51-55. I don't think my trichs are thriving enough. Some are fully cloudy some half mily and some no milky slight milky. I'm freaking out as thi is gonna be my last grow until 2016 and i need to harvest the kush because my c.c is in a huge pot and taking all the space. Anyways what would be the best for these next few days 300 watt and lower temps or 400 and high temps

83-86°f. isnt really that bad. But losing 25% of your light energy sure is! I say 400 watts and higher temps all the way!

Higher temperatures don't really seem to hurt the plants - they just don't grow as much! At least that's my experience.

90 degrees is awfully warm. Are you growing in a tent? I grow in a 4x4 tent, and I was having heat issues as well. What I ended up doing is just unzipping it about 1/3 of the way down (especially during the light hours) and it knocked my temps down and my plants are much happier.

Higher temps increase the chances of your plant will hermie.
