This is my first time posting & I'm doing so because I've been having a problem with mouldy bud for about 6 months now. It's driving me crazy!
I've been a smoker for over a decade and never had this problem until late last year when I had a large bud go mouldy. Then all was fine for a few months but recently my last 5 buys have turned after about 2 weeks.
I was storing in tight vac containers until a half went mouldy in there. So I cleaned it out with bleach & vinegar thinking that would be okay. 24 hours after storing a fresh half in there it went mouldy. So, I went back to storing it in zip lock bags, breaking it up into roughly a quarter per bag. The last few times I've had at least a quarter go mouldy after storing it for a few weeks and just yesterday I discovered a whole half has turned. This is not the most I've lost but I'm really getting frustrated. I've only got one supplier and have purchased all my stuff off them for about a year. I mentioned the mould issue to him a while back & he said he's never had any complaints. Other than the mould I've found him to be a great source. Any advice or pointers would be really helpful, I appreciate any input as to what the cause may be, what I'm doing wrong and or what I need to change. Thank you!
