Hello everyone,
[TL;DR]
I'm new here, obviously, so I thought I'd share w/ you all my strange/funny story of how a small seed turned my life around.
First off, let me say getting old sucks, as an old ex motoX rider and carpenter, it's taken it's toll on my body. Yada yada surgeries, therapy etc. nothing but prescriptions
to opioids/steroids for the past 10+yrs, going from a solid 225lbs to well over 335lbs with a ton (pun intended) of new weight related medical issues. You've read these stories before, mine is no different, but It might make you laugh.

So one day, while breaking up a bud (I'm old school, I like my joints and bong rips') a seed popped out, Surprised I Was ? OK, no biggie, I guess ? but now that were paying premium by the gram, seeds kinda suck, no ? not this time...!
Background.. I raise/sell dart frogs/fish have over 20 aquatic tanks and vivariums in the house along w/ a pair of Vampire Crabs I'm trying to mate. So I laughed as I tossed the seed into a vivarium, thinking of my youth, growing weed in a closet or a garage setup, oh the good ol' days..
I'm not sure how long it was, as I totaly forgot about it to be honest, I happened to notice the plant while feeding the animals.. wait what.. thats not a spider plant...? wow, she not only germinated laying on top of soil, she is starting to grow her second leaf (forget the stage, still re-learning) I was amazed.. I had some left over soil from a recent vivarium build, so I popped her into a 1-gal pot and set her under an old aquarium light. I had NO expectations of her growing past a week, maybe 2. BUT.. it sparked something in me..
While she grew, and she grew, I read/watched a TON as we all do in the beginning and she seemed to be growing pretty decent, nothing to brag about.
She grew out in the open, no tent/closet/garage or anything special, which in the end I think was the best, as she was meant to be there, reminding me.. because as the weeks passed and I read more, I found myself purchasing quit a few things geared towards growing indoors, lights/tents, fans.....
I ended up going w/ a 3x3 tent, SF2000 light along w/ airflow system and fans, humidifier/de-humidifier, timers.. etc.. seeing IF I can do a grow and IF successful, expand from there..
The above plant that started this new journey finished her flowering (last 12 days) and drying in the new setup and while I was late getting her the proper care she deserved, she ended up giving me love in the end, a few grams dried, again, she started out as a house plant w/ no special attn. never gave her nutrients, just water.
Very happy w/ what she produced, better high than what I thought, wish I could figure out what strain she was as I'd love to grow that strain once more.
Now I'm desperately trying to find a reputable seed place online and get away from buying, other than the occasional 'let's try some' this or that strain, cause as of last night, while breaking up flowers to roll up for a fishing trip, I found 3 more seeds, seperate purchase and from the same grower. WTF..
I used to buy better sacks w/ no seeds back in the day. anyway... at least this time I'll know what the strain is, I even thought about popping these (3) seeds and seeing what comes..
As for the 3-seeds from the sack I purchased from the dispensary, the strain is NY Diesel, I thought about tring to SOG them IF they germinate ???
the seeds aren't white, they look decent, then again I'm no expert on seeds, other than 'yup, them are seeds'.. I'd like to get a grow going asap, as winter is coming, I
live up in the mountains, we sit in 2' snow durring the winter so a challenge of temps/humidity will be coming forth... fun fun..
So, sorry for the book, glad to share my stupid story and excited to learn & grow more as time passes.
I'll be documenting my first grow soon, once I start growing I'd love to share my experience along the way, be it total failure or success.
