Hello

Hi to everone. I registered on this site at the start of this year. I was starting a grow that was ambitious for my expierance. the biggest part of wich was a grow to see if Dr Greenthumbs F-35's would be benificial to my program. I also started some clones from a strain I can't identify. I think they came with an order of Iranian G-13's also from Dr greenthumb. but, as they started to bud I noticed red hairs instead of white ones on the buds. when they were done they were beutifull red buds. Once dried the hairs turned brown, But the smoke was exellent. So now I am trying to see what I can develope from this. Maybe someone out there is familiar with this gear and can help me figure out if it is a mixed up bean or a different geno, popping up. For now I call it Special Red and will update anything interesting that might delvelop. As far as the 35's go, one went into bud at about three weeks of 24hr light, The rest were switched to 12-12 on 2-28-13. By the way I am running a 40 site N F S With different light set ups as things advance. I started with t-5 C F L's then two 400 watt MH then when switched to 12-12 I put up 1 600 watt H P S with 1 400 watt M H . Now I have stated my Hydro-Gen co2 generator and am going to change out the 400 M H for another 600 watt H P S. So far I like the General Hydroponics three par system. To that I add Superthrive,Cal-mag and Flora-Licious. I have been taking pics and Once I have developed a journal I will post it a.s.a.p. Naturaly I welcome all comments and constructive critisizm. also I will be happy to answer any questions. Now I have some questions.
I like the product Spray@ Grow, I use it alot outside,But, When useing it inside how do I avoid the burn spots that develope from the dropplets on the leaves. I do have thoughts but maybe someone has some advice that is beyond my expieriance.
Also I have been advised that it is o.k. to run a 1000 watt bulb with a 1000 watt ballast and a 400 watt hood. It sounds, lets say "To good to be true." And I have received poor advise from this source before. Good growing advise is hard to get around here. That is why I joined this forum.

That 1000 watt light should be fine in the 400 hood unless it doesnt fit or starts to scorch the paint from it getting too hot. Id love to see this red plant though, sounds......fn sweet as fek

Ninjabowler. thanks for the advice I will be hooking it up tonight. That half of the grow is gettin by on only 400 watts. I have a new 600 hps coming, but the girls need the extra watts to make full use of the co2 suppliment. As far as the reds go I will definitly keep up on the posting. I hope someday to connect with somebody that has knowlage of Dr Greenthumbs gear. Maybe figure out what it may be. There is another interesting carictoristic of this plant that may give a clue to its origin. There are offshoots growing from the stems of the shade leaves. Sometimes an inch out. If I can get a good pic I will post. Thanks again.

Check the grow journals section. I see a bunch of journals growing dr. Greenthunbs gear. You can use the search function to narrow things down a little. Or just use google and put riu in the search

Sorry, they don't turn red till the hairs are developing. It's the hairs that are red. I hope I havn't misled you. They are at two weeks now, I will get a pic and be right back.

This is the best I can do now,Pic 1 @ 2 are the special red buds, They need more development. pic 3 is the grow. The back right half is the red. the last is one of the old leaves, only a few are like this. do you think it could be burn from water droplets from transpiration? I can give you this. If you go to drgreenthumb.com and check out his niagaraxshiva (outdoors) you can get the idea. Mine are kinda like that but way more developed. I will keep you updated.
