Okay so ive come to a stand still. Ill catch you guys up to speed.

So i have a grow room about 3 and half feet tall, 5 feet long and 4 feet deep.
I plan on growing 4 ak47's in here gonna be lsting and topping the shit outta em.

The lights im using are 2 42 watt 2700k cfl's, and 10 23 wat 2700k, and 2 more 23 watt 6500k cfls. I have mylar covering the walls. For vent, i have the 6" inline fan from HTG supply

Now here is the problem... (and lets hope u guys can help me out here). The inline fan is the exhaust fan and it says it moves 250cfm. I attached the fan to some flexible ducting and connected it to a hole in the wall to vent outside. The fan feels like it isnt pushing 250cfm and i maybe wrong but it doesnt feel as if it is.

Now the temps in the room are 98 constant with the fans running and all the lights. So i come to you guys... what do i do?? im on a lil bit of a budget now as ive spent a lot of money

250cfm would be at the leaving point of the fan. After the drag in the duck it is much less. You'll have to get a lager centrifugal fan. Also make sure your duct has sweeping bends with no direct 90s

Another prob could be not having a fan blowing into your room...some rooms are tight and you get a vacume effect causing the fan to struggle

Although it doesn't say it I understand the in line fans like you have to only be booster fans for long ducting runs able to counteract some of the flow loss from restriction.

I have a 2x3x4 space and use the 265cfm blower to exhaust heat constantly with passive intake holes. even unrestricted 265cfm does not seem that strong, if the price were similar you might go bigger. I have 24cuft so exhaust entire box once every 6 seconds if it pushes 265cfm after all said and done, which it does not. I saw the 265 at http://cheaphydroponics.com/store/ventilation/active-air-blowers/cat_33.html

and a 465cfm for $90. If heat is an issue, I would definitely say go big:!: you can always wire a fan switch to lower speed and noise.

give us a picture of your fan and ducting. A space that small should easily be vented by 250cfm. That should exhaust your entire space in less than a minute so maybe your ducting is too long or has too many bends or something. Try connecting it right at the outside vent with almost no duct.

If it can't vent that area and keep it cool it may be defective.

Lastly you are running so so many CFL's you might as well be running a HID. You'd actually save electricity and get more lumens. Those 23 watt cfl's are a waste in your space, they are just too weak and are more of a heat source than a light source.
There are 250w HPS's and stuff dirt cheap if you look around for used ones on like craigslist or even for free from time to time on freecycle.org. Unfortunately you spent more on all those CFL's than a HPs would have cost with a DIY cooltube.

ever thought of going to a small hps and ditching your 14 bulbs? even though they are cfl when you add a few up they get hot real fast. if you go down to a 250 hps or even a 150 you can control the heat issue by pulling the hot air right from the reflector. i had a ton of cfls going with a veg tent and flower chamber in the same small space 3 x 6 x 8 and couldn't keep heat below 95. moved the veg out to a dif. place and now with only a 400 watt hps and a 50cm bath fan ($12) my temps are 82 steady with the outside temp being 90 to 95ish. i run a small 5000 btu ac on low in the room the closet is in and have no more heat issues. plus the growth you will get from the hps compaired to the cfls will knock you away.

as with other posts i agree that if your ducting is a mess itll make your fan struggle.are you sure you have enough intake vents?

Temps are 98??? You're plants can't function with that high of a temp....85 should be your goal....better get it down fast too

Make sure your fan is actually operating properly, check to make sure the blade isn't slipping on the motor shaft. Another option is to ditch the cfl lighting and opt for a nice T5 floro, they run very cool.
