Help growing it big.....fast.

:joint:So i have a few questions....i want to know what the essential nutrients to use would be if i were trying to get my plants to veg as fast as possible? (meaning as big as possible in the shortest period of time). Right now i am using Earth Juice "Grow" and some pH adjusted water......That's it. I don't want to go get a bunch of nutes i just want the essential ones to grow big fast.

:joint:Now i use a 400 watt mh and tie all the branches down so i can keep the light as close as possible to all the tops. I also have a 600 watt hps for flowering. I was told using both is a good idea but i think its a waste.

:joint:I was thinking about switching it over to 12/12 because i was told the plant will grow 2/3 bigger in size. I water it every time the soil is any less then damp. The leaves stay perky so i think im watering correctly. I will be open to any suggestions.....and don't be afraid to ask any questions about my setup im under the newbie forum for a reason.

1st of all change your light to 6/14 and ignor the other hours this will force flower and make it grow about double to even tripple the size and then put it back to 18/6 and it will go back to veg and steady grow and then when your really ready go back to 6/14 again and it will just flower and speed up the process and then ur ready to go from there and foliage feed at nite time and make sure you flush to avoid salt build up and just keep using your mh light thats the best 4 it

Mh best for flowering? Surely you have been smoking too much sir? Hps for flowering Mh aint got the right spectrum. Dual spectrum hps use that for vegging and flowering.

Can't help you much here other than to say grow hydroponically to get through veg the fastest.

Assuming that the 400 watt MH is appropriately sized for your grow area then that is all you need for vegging, it would most likely be a waste to add the 600 watt HPS on top of it.

Typically, I believe you would switch to 12/12 when the plant tells you it's ready to flower - alternating nodes, pre-flowering, etc. Of course, another factor is head room - you want to start flowering with enough remaining headroom to account for the growth you'll get during flowering.

Personally, I wouldn't switch to 12/12 just to increase the size of the plant - I don't believe the "size" you'll be gaining would be beneficial in any way. You won't necessarily gain bulk in the form of more leaves or bud sites; what you will gain is more height through elongated stems (stretch). So if you switch back and forth between 12/12 (or 6/18 ) to 18/6 all you'll be doing is getting a stretchy plant, and stressing it at the same time. Might as well just raise the light and let the plants stretch to it. Switch to 12/12 when the plant is ready or you're running out of head room or you want to harvest sooner (with lower yield) - not because you want to stretch the plant. Just my opinion.

6 hours day and 18 hours night i have never herd of any one doing that...........how doesd a flowering plant benefit from that?
