Help, leaves turning weird color and curling radially

I am trying a new approach to find out the problem with some plants that have been putting out variegated/curled leaves. When looking at a typical fan leaf with 5 or 7 points, picture one of those leaflets half healthy dark green and the other half a mottled gray/green, sort of like a bad camoflage job. The discoloration runs lengthwise right down the middle vein of the leaves with some curling radially at the tip, not up or down at the tip as is common with overwatering or over fertilizing, etc. These are new leaves at the tops and not all leaves on a particular plant are affected. Otherwise the plants are doing great, growing in leaps and bounds with an ebb and flow system and NSR Greenleaves nutrient system. Could this be a micro-nutrient problem and if so, how can I correct it? I am using the "Boost" along with the "Bloom" and keeping an eye on ppm/ph. This problem has affected some plants in the seedling stage as well and those are in soil at present, not on the hydro system with the others. I am baffled, having never seen this type of growth before and it is becoming more prevelant as time goes by. Anybody have any suggestions???? Sorry, I don't post pics!
