Mechanical timers are pretty cheap. I use a couple Samsung WiFi smart plugs, I friggin love them. Accurate on/off and can see actual power pull from the wall. Pretty neat and inexpensive.

best to put the light back on its proper schedual for starters, pray to the gods of ganja and carry on, with a new timer, verry important not to skimp on the timer. i recomend a digital one. but a new one anyway.
i shouldent worry about it just yet, chances are you will just carry on untill harvest without a problem, it takes quite a bit of light messing around to get a female to hermie.

The problem with smart plugs is they won't work if your wifi goes down.

Good point. I hardly ever have WiFi issues at home. When I do, it’s because the power went out. At that point, I’m not worried about the timer.

I'm jealous, mine briefly goes down all of the time. I have my living room lights hooked up to them, and sometimes I have to manually turn the lights on or off using their switches instead of my phone like I'm a damn caveman.

. I’d hate to have to constantly play with the plug. I’d just use a mech timer at that point.
