Help making a BHO Vacuum Chamber PLEASE!!!

Ok.. So I've just recently started getting into BHO.. I've been doing the warm bath/whipping technique for about 3 batches and didn't like my results.. So I went out and got a vacuum.. Problem is I have no idea what I bought or how to use it.. I'm by no means a "DIY" guy.. I plan on using a mason jar as my chamber until I can get a nice professional chamber (I seen one I liked for about $100 on amazon).. I tried finding videos on youtube of how to make the chamber itself, but all I find is people making the BHO itself...
So I bought a:
"FJC Rotary 3.0 Vacuum Pump"
FJC Pump.jpg

and this is where I messed up.. and bought:
[h=1]"Equus 3620 Vacuum Gauge"[/h]gauge set.jpg

Well I got them both in the mail.. and realized they don't go together at all.. despite amazon telling me this is what people "bought together".. At least, I need some type of adapters to make them work? I don't think I have nearly enough parts to get this thing working.. The pump I bought, it said something about connecting a yellow hose to the manifold or something.. but the pump didn't come with anything other then some oil. Another question, that brass piece on the pump itself.. Stupid question, but why is there 2 of them? And how do I properly hook this damn thing up? lol.. Sorry guys, I know this sounds really stupid and simple.. I'm not a "handyman" by trade though.. I just grow lol
Thanks in advance!!!!

That appears to be a vacuum pump for air conditioner refrigerant lines. The yellow hose is connected to the technichians guage manifold. As for the two brass fittings those connect to the low pressure and high pressure sides of the condenser's compressor. That pump is designed to pull the system pressure below atmospheric pressure (29.92) inches of Hg. All in all, I would probrably return the pump and get something a little less industrial. This might be a little more practical for your needs. http://www.amazon.com/Actron-CP7830-Hand-Vacuum-Pump/dp/B0009XQUK2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1362779969&sr=8-2&keywords=hand+operated+vacuum

Yes that houd work but i reccomend against a mason jar one... Build a safer one or wait til you buy it.. Dont want the jar to implode
