help me find pressure switch

Hey guys,
I'm going to be using an aquatech 8800 for an aero veggie garden. It came with a pressure switch but it's only for like 70-80psi, I want a switch that will fill an accumulator to ~140 psi and then shut off until pressure drops to ~110psi or so.

I'm having almost 0 luck finding any such switch.

I also need a 90psi regulator, and a 150psi pressure release valve.

Can anybody please recommend a place to buy some of the above parts?

Probably going to use thermal expansion tank for the accumulator.

Your talking about some fairly specialized items. Got a budget for this? Im gonna say the switch will be more than a few hundred dollars. Im assuming you want a 120v switch that triggers at 140psi. shewww hold your butthole

Ya I dont think there is gonna be anything out there that is "out of the box" what you want. I can find all kinds of sensors that are in your range but they only have a output signal to read from "0-5v, 4ma-20ma" you will then have to put that into some form of PLC or start using a arduino or phidget or something... Sorry homie

I actually found a pressure switch made for the aquatec 8800 pump. It can only be ordered via the phone at precisioninstallationproducts.com

costs about 15 bucks, has a normal setting of 80-100psi, and is slightly adjustable. It's also just basically a relay that works off the aquatec powersupply (you interrupt the normal cables with its molex connections).

I also discovered that the aquatech8800 comes in a few different models, and mostly what changes is the internal bypass sensitivity. Some of them are turned to start bypassing around 80psi, so you'd never hit cutoff. There is actually a TINY 050" hex screw to adjust the bypass pressure on the pump.

Mine is preset to 110 psi, so I am pretty close to the 100psi cutoff on my switch. I'm going to see if I can adust both to be slightly higher, as I'd like my accumulator to reach 120 psi.

but so far the cost isn't so bad.

most expensive item so far was a Macromatic 12v cylce timer. I went with TR-65126, which lets you choose betwee 0.6-30 seconds, or much higher. Costs around 65 bucks.

I ALMOST went with an artisan timer that had 0.1s increments... but it was using only DIP switches, so I think 'tweaking' the aeroponic timing would be too much work. 0.6 seconds isn't perfect but should be good enough to start.


My 12v solenoid ran about 40 bucks also, and the accumulator is costing 60 bucks. Not cheap but not terrible either.
