I've been growing in hydroponic systems for bout 3 years now. I have a drip system and an aeroponic system I've been using:blsmoke:. I have another room that I am about to start using and I'm considering trying out soil, I hear a lot of good stuff about it plus why not try something new, you never learn if you don't try. From start to finish I can usually have a harvest done in no more than 90 days. My question is how much longer will it take if I'm growing using soil? And just for the record they will be grown under 2 1000w Hortilux Blue lights.bongsmilie

soil is more forgiving, other than that you can do the same types of grow with similar yeild. i use soil...formerly drip hydro.

I've been reading a lot about soil and I like what I've seen so far, don't get me wrong I love hydroponics. but soil is the way mother nature intended it to be so why not.

Soil is cheaper to get started, more expensive in the long run...if you're using FF ocean forest soil, 20 bucks a bag...a decent grow is going to take 3-4 bags, everytime.

Probably a little less mess, it's weird hearing someone talk about soil as being the foreign medium, the unknown, versus hydro.
