help. newbie.

Okay, so here's the deal. I understand most of this. Vegetative stage. Flowering. Lighting. Containers. Ventilation. Harvesting. curing. And etc. Its simple. A little reasearch and everyone pretty much is on the same page as am I. But what really throws me off is. The soil, can't I just get quality soil and use no nutrients with the watering. Or do I get quality soil and use nutrients with my water? Everyone seems to have a different answer and its extremely misleading. This will be my first grow and I just want the basics of the basics. I am a fast learner and with some trial and error I will eventually get it down. I'm no scientist so don't throw the some crazy shit that only you understand at me. Remember you are talking to a complete beginner, and break it down for me. I posted on here not to have to go google for a word u said in every sentence. Lol I just need help lighting the fuse and from there I'm good. Please and thank you (:

If you wanna get some great bud, you are gonna want some good soil (good water retention, drainage, and breathable) and use nutrients with your waterings. I currently use nutes every other watering but it is different for each kind. A cheap starter kit is just Fox Farm Ocean forest soil and Fox Farm Nutrients (Big Bloom, Grow Big, and Tiger Bloom) all can be found at your local hydro shop. And there are many other additives that can be stacked with your primary nutes. (Kangaroots and microbrew for example) HOWEVER YOU CAN USE WHATEVER YOU WANT!! The kind you use depends on your "grow style" I guess I would say... For example, some prefer organic fertilizers, etc... Idk, if you do your research it's not that hard to put together a killer combo that will almost guarantee great bud. I hope this helps!
