Help picking Led lighting for Mini mother bonsai box

Hey guys I'm in the process of designing a grow box for my mother bonsai plants and was wondering if anyone could help me figure out the wattage I would need. The box is going to be 2'x2'x3' and I'm wanting to put 4 mothers in 1 gallon square pots. What led lighting would you recommend for slow steady growth? Other ideas are welcome and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You wouldn't need much for 4 square feet of space. 50 watts would be enough for mothers. I veg a 3x3 with 110 watts and they are fairly old chips. 12.5 watts a square foot with the latest and greatest leds would be enough in my opinion. I would go 4000k for a veg light.

Thanks a million guys, I think I'm going to give try a 50w Osunby ufo for now. They seem pretty reasonable on price verse specs and the reviews seem ok. Thanks again guys.

Possibly the worst option available to you. That is highly inefficient tech and probably won't last very long.

What would you recommend?
Jesus, come in here asking for advice when it's all over this forum, have 2 people actually break it down for you, and then say "fuck it I'm just gonna buy a shit blurple mono led fixture from China from Amazon."

I already gave you two great options on what I'd recommend.

Calm down bud, I'm just looking to see what my options are. I'm completely new to the growing world so I'm still learning.

It's all good.. everybody simmer down. The options @Airwalker16 suggested would work perfectly for your needs and are significantly better lights than the one you mentioned. Here is another option...

@Airwalker16 may have come on a bit strong, but he is not incorrect. Those of us who've been on here a while have seen so many people turn down good advice and spend their money on junk just to save a few bucks. Give some serious consideration to the three options that we provided you with... they are all significantly better than the one you are considering.

Look at Timber grow lights ... they have a killer rig for 2x2 spaces .

In Cree /citizen / VERO cobs .... don’t jump on the blurple train .

These COBS will do it , plus you can keeping using it as you move up in lights and space .

also look at quantum boards ... they have a killer 135watt kit.

I've got one of the 135w kits... sick ass little light. Pulled well over 1 gpw with it off of 1 plant in a 2x2 seed to harvest.

Thanks a million guys, I didn't know there was a big difference between the burple lights and LEDs. I think I'm going to take airwalkers advice and go with the atrium light setup. Still have a lot to learn but I'm enjoying every second of it. Thanks again and sorry for the misunderstanding.

They're even on sale and can run to 80watts without a heatsink. 20w/sqft is perfect for vegging.
