Hi RIU,
I have two Plants that were given to me.
They had two weeks treatment for spider mites before I got them.
I have seen no bugs with a 30x magnification checked daily.
( do spider mites burrow into rock wool to get away from treatment?)
(are they eating my Roots??)

over the last 4 days the plants show symptoms,
of what I do not know.

I have suspicions that plant are low in Zinc.

plants 2" under lights
24/7 95 watt CFL and water, PH 5.67
water is 100 PPM out of the tap.
82 degrees
52% humidity

Whats wrong with My Girls??

Strain is Industrial.

Please Help,
I have Fox Farm Nutes but I have
been giving just water do to shock of treatment and move.
should I mix up the FF and feed hard or just hit with Big Bloom for Zinc??

Also the rockwool had slimy green algae, I got advice to cover blocks to kill the Algae.
Was the algae a good thing??

What? you have your lights on 24/7? is that what you meant? If so put them on for only 18 hrs a day! If your running 24 hrs that is most likely the prob.

feed them correct, the new growth will be green but those nasty leaves will stay nasty. also if they r in the same pot transplant them into a bigger if your in of of those Dixie cups lol

What? you have your lights on 24/7? is that what you meant? If so put them on for only 18 hrs a day! If your running 24 hrs that is most likely the prob.

i always veg/clone 24/7 never have any issue ....keep guessing

spider mites? no but maybe fungus gnat larva

pH is correct for rockwool but do you have the hydroponic FF nuts? also ive never used FF for hydro or soil

im pretty sure that he is doing hydro...

Could've been the pesticide that killed off the mites was mixed a little too strong and burnt the leaves, or they were treated with the pesticide during the day and the leaves were cooked a little. Doesn't really look like a deficiency IMO.

you make a great point about poor usage of a pesticide and
timing of spraying and lighting that causes heat.


I raised the PH on my water to 6.0 +-.4


did the same with my FF Hydro Nutes mix at 3/4 strength 450 PPM
watered the Girls with the FF Nutes for the first time.
PH on nutes at 6.0 +- .4
I Pray to the Ganja Gods that All goes well.

A semi-rule of thumb: If it's the top leaves in question, it's usually heat. If it's the bottom leaves, it's nutrients.

Hi All,
these Clone Girls are
in my care 7 days, they came to me sick.

Strain - Industrial,
The twins still look sickly I see upward curling leaves,
yellowing from the center of the leaf to the tip, brown burnt tip of leaves.
Other leaves seem to be greening up better.

fed water PH 6.0 for 5 days,
started Feeding FF Nutes type, hydro 750 PPM yesterday.

I am in over my head!

I did trim away the top 1/8" of rock wool with dry algae and dry white stuff.

I covered the cubes with Panda film to stop further Algae growth.

i think they will be fine

also for rockwool pH should be 5.3-5.7 rockwool has some properties to it that require a lower pH
