Long story short, about a year ago I was involved in a car accident and after 8 months of therapy and 2 attempts of radiofrequency ablation, there has been no improvement. I still wake up with headaches almost every day and I do not have full movement in my neck. When I turn it too far in either direction I have a sharp pain that runs down my neck and shoulders. Its pretty safe to say I have permanent nerve damage. I have 3 options since I live in a non med state:

1. Keep going once a year for the ablation, which hasnt done shit, not to mention the procedure hurts like a mofo.
2. Get cut open. Last option.
3. Move to a med state and try to grow legally. I have done research and read that certain strains can give relief to back and neck pain. (Can anyone recommend one?)

Well due to recent events in my life im pretty much able to up and move wherever the eff i want, so Im deciding to go with option #3. Like I said I did some research, but some things I turned up were a little gray. Ive come up with a few questions that hopefully someone will be able to answer:

1. Do you even think Im eligible to receive a card? Im not sure if my symptoms would constitute for one.

2. Should I ask my doc to see if he thinks I would be eligible? How do I bring that up, just lay it out there?

3. What states are the most lenient with their criteria about issuing one? I have a buddy that lives in OR and he says they basically hand them out like candy. Is this true?

4. Ive think Ive narrowed it down to either WA or OR for a few different reasons. They both allow up to 24 oz usable (most in all the states) and have the highest amount that you can keep in the soil. Now I see that OR allows 6 mature plants and 18 immature. Does that mean 6 flowering and 18 in the veg state? Ive never grown before so Im not quite sure what that means. Also, I see that WA allows 15 plants, but doesn’t specify mature or immature. Anyone have any input on that? I got this info here: http://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/viewresource.asp?resourceID=000881

5. Is there a waiting period in either of these states? Can u turn in the paperwork and receive the card right off the bat? Or is there a back log? What state would I be able to receive the fastest?

6. Are you allowed to grow outdoors or just inside your home? If you can grow outdoors Id like to, so I would need to start looking for places in the country.

7. Chances are I will be renting a place when I first move. Should I notify my landlord if I plan on growing indoors or should I keep my mouth shut? I have no problem doing either.

8. There is a good chance that a good friend of mine will be making the move with me. He will not be a med user so are there any laws about him living in the house if growing indoors?

9. If I were to apply for a job that requires a piss test, how does that work? Should I inform them at the interview that im a med user? I read somewhere that all you need to do is hand your card to whoever is performing the test and they pass you, no questions asked. Is that true? I thought it sounded a lil fishy.

Im sure I will have a lot more questions along the way, but these were the ones I could think of off the top of my head. Ive browsed a lot of forums before I decided to join RIU, and I have to say that this is the best and most informative one ive been to. Hence the reason I brought my questions here. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.
