help please

i have some "the ultimate" going,they are 2 weeks into there 12 hr a day cycle and are looking great.i have been told to take some of the leaves from the very bottom away,im looking for some help as im not sure what to do,there is quite a bit of fresh growth at the very bottom.please help

The idea is that your light will be most useful to the top of the plant, the lower half of the plant generally grows out as popcorn bud, small, airy, not the best thing (smokes just great but can be a pain to trim etc) so the idea about triming the bottom of the plant is to remove popcorn budsites so that all energy can be focused in the top of the plant. It is not a requirement, if you are new to growing then i would just suggest leaving your plant exactly a it is so you get an experience of how it would typically grow and as such, what you might like to change up the next time around

i might take the very smallest new growth away at this stage but not much.. it might have been better to do it during the veg stage for recovery time etc, good air circulation and light penatration are key. got any pics?

ok ,and if i want to cut what is the best way?would cutting with a stanley knife be ok and pulling off with fingers?

clean blade preferable, but i just pinch off with clean hand to be honest,

i just pinch growth off with my fingernails. I could use a sterile blade or such if i wanted, but fuck the requirement for sterile, it's a scam

How far along do people usually wait before they start trimming their bottom leaves? My plants are just starting to fill out the scrog and are 9 days into flowering, here's the thread:

ok so if im going to pinch it off do i just pinch the leaves off or the whole stem from the main shoot?
