Help plz??

i have this ballast and light bulb just bought worked fine when i plug it in and tried it. i than tried today and when i just pluged it in the cord that comes from the socket to the ballast came out fast and i seen a spark and now the light starts to come on than go's right off think i messed up the bulb or the ballast or both any1 have any of the same stuff thanx 4 any help

Where did you get it? I deal with High tech garden supply and they warranty their stuff. It sounds to me like you got a bad ballast, or something electrical happened. Maybe too much power and it blew it up. The person I respect a lot on here about such things is BIGBUDBALLS he knows of this sort of thing.

thats where i got it from and it worked fine the 1st time i tried it when it unpluged (the socket cord) it like sparked than when i tried it again it wouldn't stay on i heard it trying to fire up the bulb than it'll come on for a sec than go off it does that like 1 time every min or so

im wording if its my light or ballast either way im out at least 100 lol i know the ballast has a warranty for like 2 yrs i thing but do lights have warrrants i don't know

My lights had a 30 day warranty I would call them asap and tell them you have a bad bulb. You'll get a new one I'm sure. I blew a bulb 600 watt HPS 9 days after I started and it said it was to last months I was sure upset but they made it all better. Call them, of course it's Sunday 2mro, but tell them asap. That way they know you have a problem if they treat you right they have a client for quite awhile so it's worth their effort to make you happy. Plus all the free advertisement for them on here if they do you right. Some Bulbs are just bad I learned my lesson and ordered 6 to make sure I wouldn't be in the dark ever again.

To explain the pic on my sig it's because some of us ladies are fed up with the guys and all the naked pornstar chicks that they have all over the site and we are tired of looking at them. So this is my protest picture, hell I can't stand to look at it LOL

sounds like a short some where take it appart and follow the wires and give them a LITTLE tug and see if there are any that are broken and re connect them

Absolutely do not rip it up. Just as you said your warranty will be void. Just give them a call and they will take care of you if they want your business and all the free advertising for how great they treated you. I just went from an all fluro grow to HPS and boy I was pissed when the bulb blew and the first thing everyone said is did you wipe your bulb off? Your finger prints will make it blow etc.. So remember everyone has an opinion even if you know it's wrong for you. Do what youknow is right. You paid some good money for that and you deserve something that actually works.
