Help! Purple stem on my 18" clone and leaves are starting to turn bright green

Hi all,

I am in need of some serious help. I left my plants at home for a buddy to take care of for the next week and a half while i went outta town.

He called me today to notify me that my 20" candy gram clone that is about a month old in veg is not doing so well. He said that the stem is turning purple and that the leaves are beginning to turn bright green and loose their dark green color. The plant is in a 5 gallon bucket in fox farm ocean forest soil and I have been using grow big at 1/4 strength and ph has been around 6.0

This also is apparently happening to one of my Himalayan Gold seedlings too(purple stem). This is in a plastic solo beer cup in fox farm ocean forest soil.

I apologize for not having pics but due to being out of town i will not be able to take pics til i get back. Hopefully they will last until i get back or someone here knows what my problem is so my babies dont die.
Thanks for all your help in advance

Do you have enough light on them? Maybe the nutes are locked out?

Im pretty sure its nitrogen defficiency after doing some research. Im still not sure if thats it for sure though.

If it is it however, i dont know how to deal with my little seedling. I dont wanna start giving it nutes too early but to my understanding foxfarm ocean forest already comes with some nutes in it initially and it should be sufficient for the first week or two of seedling life. Its only a week and a half old so im not so sure what to do.

Any body else have any ideas? Please i really need some help saving my babies :joint:

You got it, bro! Sounds hungry for nitrogen. Get a little more nutes in there and see how she responds.
Good luck!

ye probably a nute deficiency like nitrogen or iron chlorosis. problem probably is your pH, 6.0 is a little low. For soil shoot for 6.5-6.8 which is optimum.

Conditions sound fine. Keep an eye on the seedling ...a picture would help with diagnosis.
Definitely get the larger plant some nitrogen!
Good luck, bro!

next time add about 1/3 wormcastings, and 1/3 pearlite to your soil and u wont have this problem again.

to add some quick (n) piss in a gallon of waters and feed it to ur plants . the amonia in ur piss turns to nitrogen when it comes in contact with the carbon in the soil.

PEACE
